Sisterlocks Photoshoot

Dr. Cornwell and Sisterlocks came to the Bay Area on February 16-17th, complete with a photographer. You know I had to take advantage of the opportunity to update my photos, and my blog.

I celebrated my 2nd locversary on December 28-29th, but had no pictures to commemorate the occasion. Well, here they are...

I am finally beginning to have some length - yea! I am so greatful to my fellow bloggers. Everything you said about having patience, following the proper care guidelines for my locs, braiding and banding when it was appropriate, kicking the product junkie habit and letting my hair just do what it do. It's working, and I love it! Thanks yall!

Cluizel - Thank you! Your hair is coming along nicely as well. I know I don't always holla, but I see you girl!

Alise - Sorry it took me so long. Year two IS fantastic, and I am looking forward to year 3. I told Dr. Cornwell that when my hair gets long, she'll be able to recognize me at future Sisterlocks events because I'll be the one turning my head whiplash style, swinging my locs in everybody's face - she laughed.

Meikmeika - Thank you! I seriously need to hit you up for some recipies though. I'm still enjoying Vegan Planet in the meantime.

Maryee - Thank you so much. Your blog was one of the original blogs that led me to Sisterlocks. We had an absolute ball!

Goodnapps - My son's girlfriend hooked me up on the hairstyle. It was a stretch for me but it worked out. Thank you for stopping by.

Amba - We did indeed have a blast. I know ATL is going to be off the chain - I can't wait to see the pics.

Anonymous Daughter - I should be so lucky as to get a booking with the famous JustRemy7. When you graduate college in May and we go to Martinique it's on!

Theartisthaha - Thank you for the compliment. Just wait, you'll be there before you know it, and it just gets better, and better. By the way, you are quite an accomplished artist - no ha ha about it! Be blessed!

Sogolocs - You are very kind. I used to celebrate every little retightening, hair wash, any little milestone. Two years is definitely worth the wait though. Now I'm really seeing the progress, and feeling the love.

Aya - Thank you girl!
I had hoped to see you and Lex at the Vallejo function. We are definitely overdue for a get together. We seriously need to make it happen.

KC - Thanks for showing love on my post, and congratulations on your decision to lock it up. It's one of the most liberating experiences I've ever had. All I can say is sit back, be patient and enjoy the ride.
