So, my locs are now 5 years old as of 12/29/2011. I just love them more and more with each milstone...

What did you use to curl your hair. It looks lovely!
Dominica - Thank you! I used my old faithful Soft Spike curlers and a little Crinkles and Curls setting lotion. The curls will last about 2 weeks, falling slightly day by day.

Wow!!! Your locks are looking fab-u-lous!! I can't believe 5 years have passed in such a short amount of time. Remember when we first started out?...now look at us with hair on our backs. I can't wait to see what the next 5 years holds. I imagine we'll be sitting on hair by then...LOL!! I plan to continue updating my blog, even if just yearly, so the newbies will have something out in blogland to help with their research. I hope you will too. @ NappTown - Thank you so much. I'm so happy with my locs, you can't tell me nothing...lol. I checked out your blog as well and love some of the styling you do. Other than a Soft Spike set or braid out, I usually don't do much styling, but I love some of the styles you wear. I'll be dropping by periodically to get some tips. Thanks again & be blessed!

Yoli - Sisterlocks has been the best thing I have ever done to my hair. The styling flexibility is the same as when I had a perm but it is growing much longer than it ever did with the added chemicals. They truly give me the freedom to embrace my natural hair in a clean, neat, and stylish way. Don't just lock, Sisterlock!
